High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. You must also skip Brunch Burger, Quesadilla Burger, Triple Bacon Burger, and Whiskey Bacon Burger at Applebee's. High sodium intake can be lethal for a high blood pressure candidate. Avoid ordering foods that contain over 1000mg sodium at Applebee's, especially if you're dining alone.

High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Went here on a Saturday night at about 7. Parking lot was pretty full but we got seated right away (party of 6). Waitress was super friendly and took our drink orders right away. She always made sure we had full glasses. She answered all of our questions regarding the food. Got our food very quickly and it was all hot and fresh and tasted amazing! We had a variety of food ordered (pizza, burgers, tacos, various appetizers). All of the orders came out correctly. Very pleasant/ awesome experience. Definitely recommend!

Very disappointing. Don't go here for lunch. Waited 40 min after ordering and still no food. People next to us came in after us were already eating. Finally asked for check and waitress wouldn't bring it. Only had ordered a wrap and fish tacos. It shouldn't take that long. Waitress brought out food in to go boxes. What am I supposed to do with that! I needed to be back at work. Need better customer service!

Went there last night before the Eagles concert for a quick meal. It definitely was not a quick meal. Took forever to get waited on. When we got there we were told it would be a 10 minute wait although there was an empty table sitting right in front of us.about 15 minutes later we were seated at the table we had been looking at.waited about 10 minutes before anybody came to even look or take our order. While we were there two tables by Us the people got up and left because nobody came to take an order from them. We finally got our order and the food was good and the price reasonable. As we were getting our check another table consisting of about eight people got up and left just as there food was being delivered. They said they didn't have time to eat it since they had already been there for an hour. Hopefully this was just an off night for them.

Not sure what all the bad press is about? This place is a "sports bar for the family" and has a great location next to the Sanford sports complex. The food isn't fine dining but it's not the goal. It's an affordable, come as you are after the game type environment and converse with friends and family. My gf and I took my boys here after my sons football game on the weekend. The bill was $47 for wings, appetizer sampler, 4 beers and 2 shots - which I thought was fair. The boneless wings were actually very good - sweet jalepeno was the table favorite and on par with BWW's. We also had cheese quesedillas, onion rings, mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders. The onion rings were typical out-of-the-bag frozen onion rings and were average. BTW....to the reviewer who said the fries were barely edible - how you do you make your deep fried frozen french fries taste good? Exactly. The fries are on par with an Applebees The chicken tenders appear to be hand batterred, not sure? but had great crunch/taste. Quesedilla and mozz sticks were as expected. They are generous with extra dipping sauces, which is good with kids. The service was a little slow with drinks but it was also very busy. If you come in expecting great home cooked food, you will be disappointed. If you come looking for a nice, clean place to watch sports with the family and enjoy some bar food you will be happy. They have some nice arcade games in the corner for the kids and plenty of TV's to watch. Bar seats very comfy as are the regular table and chairs. It appears to have a great outdoor seating area with a fireplace and TV but we did not go out there because it was in the low 60's and breezy. We will definately be back.

Been here three times because it's a stones throw from the hotel I stay at. Nothing special from a food perspective, decent sports bar atmosphere. Good selection of beer on tap. I've tried several items on the menu and have not been impressed by any of it. The fried foods are over fried, the dressings taste like food service bottled dressing. The wait staff is friendly enough.

I read the reviews on this place but was staying at the hotel right next door and did not feel like getting in the car and driving to another place. The food is nothing to write home about, typical bar food but the service I received from Angie was fantastic.

We decided to go to this restaurant in spite of the mediocre reviews. We were glad we did, we had a table of 6 and all had different menu items and drinks. All 6 of us highly enjoyed our meals (flatbreads/chicken strips/salad/burgers). Our service was fantastic and speedy. The amount of televisions was perfect for the three great college football games on. I would definitely come back again to this place!

Way understaffed tonight. Took 20 minutes before waitress made first appearance. Told us we couldn't order tall beers because it was too busy. Food was mediocre to bad. Might have been better if it hadn't taken so long. We only had three people.

Their slogan says it all. Good food. Good sports. This family-friendly sports pub is perfectly located in the Sanford Sports Complex. Great for families dining before or after events, or for anyone looking for good food and drinks in a relaxed and friendly environment. Happy hour prices are fantastic and combined with different daily food specials, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out and revisiting.

Nice spot with a lot of potential. They have a lot of things on the menu and a decent drink selection. I had wings and they were okay. Fish and Chips were below average. The fries were barely edible. My suggestion: reduce menu options and focus on being great at those, rather than providing many options that are maybe just average or even subpar.

While taking out my father for a Birthday , We ordered 2 meals. And a kids meal for my daughter. We also had a coupon for a free appetizer. The fried pickles were ok, good thing they were free because they were way over priced. 7$ for a very small basket. I ordered the 3 slider meal. With fries. The size of the fries were about the size of a small order at a fast food place . The sliders/hamburgers on the other hand were way small. Except for the bun. It was pretzel bread and the bun was very good. About the size expected for the price. The Meat on the other hand was way small, about half the size of the bun itself. I ended up taking one home, and out of curiously I weighed it. It was 1.1 oz This was very disappointed for someone that is named BEEF o Brady. The final ticket was almost 30$ with no drinks, except one soda. The atmosphere itself has very few TVs, I think I counted 3, odd that a sports place has so little. I do not see myself eating here again, there is much better places that are less expensive and give you more then 3 oz of meat for 10$-15$

Two visits to this one. The first was on the first week they opened and it was not good in any aspect. I had a burger and fries that was a disgrace. I asked for the manager twice and waited for 20 minutes. I finally left enough money to cover my bill without eating anything. I gave it another shot and this time, it was better. I had the steak tacos. They tasted good but they are on the pricey side.

We went to the location at 69th and Western for a quick lunch last Sunday. Ice cold beers, ginormous sliders, super tasty fried fish and a fun server left us wishing we lived closer. Great place!

Stopped here as a family to eat supper. I would not recommend this place for a family. Food was so, so at best. Kids meals were terrible, my kids woud not eat them and they are not picky eaters. Battered pickles tasted like batter, no seasoning. Over priced for what you get. Our server on the other hand was was very good.

First. It's way too bright. We're talking surface of the sun here. Ticket times were upwards of 35 minutes, and seating is too close for comfort. Food was ok, but nothing outstanding.
